Cellphones and Landlines

I. OBJECTIVE

1. To provide guidelines on the proper use of company-issued cell phones

2. To provide guidelines on the proper use of landline phones available in the office
II. DEFINITION OF TERMS

1. Company Cell phones – refers to the mobile phones owned by the company and issued to its employees for work-related purposes

 

III. GENERAL POLICIES

For owners of company-owned cell phones (SIM card and prepaid monthly allowance), please be reminded of the following:
• Always bring your phone. You are expected to answer concerns and issues 24/7.
• Reduce the expectation of privacy. Company-issued phones are for business transactions only, not for personal use.
• Purchasing/Downloading of Apps, games, ring tones, ring back tones, and browsing at the Internet/WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) are not allowed. . Always check and ensure that your mobile data is turned off to avoid accidental charges. All charges for internet/WAP usage, etc., whether intentional or not, will be on the account of the user or liable owner.
• Immediately report lost devices so that service can be terminated right away.

For employees who do not have a company-owned mobile phone and needs to call a client and/or store personnel during work hours, they may use the Sun, Smart or Globe Postpaid Line from Human Resources Department (HRD). Sun Mobile is only intended for Sun transactions; the same applies with Globe and Smart lines. All calls made must be recorded in the logbook for proper monitoring, if not, it will be charged to the owner.

Landline phones available in the office:
• Globe (09175991212) and Smart (09999935942) – must be used as Internal Communication, Recruitment (Incoming/Outgoing calls of applicants), Operations, Command Center and Executive Assistant.
• PLDT landline (451-2926/414-5890) – must be used by the Purchasing and Accounting Personnel (Incoming/Outgoing calls of suppliers).
