I. OBJECTIVE
1. To provide troubleshooting guidelines on the different concerns surrounding the glass steamer
II. DEFINITION OF TERMS

III. GENERAL POLICIES
The following procedures must be done during listed circumstances:
A. Not steaming
1. Check the plug if properly plugged in the power outlet. Unplug and plug.
2. If # 1 didn’t work, check the wire and the connection.
3. If #2 didn’t work, check the water level if standard. Place enough water.
4. If #3 didn’t work, drain the water and clean the inside of the steamer. Remove as much dirt as possible. Place another set of water.
5. If #4 didn’t work, check the thermostat.
6. If none of the above works, replace it with another unit. Pull-out the defective unit for repair.
B. Creates unnecessary noise
1. Check the water level if standard. Place enough water.
2. If #1 didn’t work, drain the water and clean the inside of the steamer. Remove as much dirt as possible. Place another set of water.
3. If # 2 didn’t work, request for the maintenance staff to go to the outlet and fix the problem. Provide the necessary tools or back up material.
4. If none of the above works, replace it with another unit. Pull-out the defective unit for repair.
C. Blast plug or wire
1. Replace it with another unit. Pull-out the defective unit for repair.
As an alternative, Service Crew may use casserole steamer to steam their dumplings.
