Monitoring of Utility Consumptions

I. OBJECTIVE

1. To provide guidelines in the proper reading of electric, gas, and/or water consumption meter

2. To provide guidelines in the proper filling out of form for monitoring the electric, gas, and/or water consumption

III. GENERAL POLICIES

Guidelines:
1. As part of the opening procedures of the outlet, write the recorded reading from last night under the column, “Previous Night’s Reading” of the Weekly (Electrical/Gas/Water) Consumption Form.
2. Look at the meter and write the current reading under the column, “AM Beginning”. For electrical reading, do the given step before turning off the freezer (for SSM and CDH only).
3. Calculate the consumption over night by deducting the “Previous Night’s Reading” to the “AM Beginning”:
AM Beginning – Previous Night’s Reading = Overnight Consumption
4. As part of the closing procedures of the outlet, look at the meter and write the current reading under the column, “PM Ending”. For electrical reading, do the given step before turning on the freezer (for SSM and CDH only).
5. Calculate the consumption during the day by deducting the “AM Beginning” to the “PM Ending”.
PM Ending – AM Beginning = End of Day Consumption
6. On the “Remarks” column, write the possible reason of the increase or decrease in consumption, if applicable.
7. The employee (Service Crew, Management Trainee, etc.) who reads the meter must write his/her name and signature on the appropriate column.

The form is sent to the SOS every Saturday, through the Rider.
